WINDHAM - Wallace E. Ramsden, age 82, of Windham, NH, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH.
Wallace was born in Derry, NH, where he grew up and was educated. He was a 1953 graduate of Pinkerton Academy. He moved with his wife Patricia to Windham, where they were residents for the past 57 years.
Wallace retired as a manager from PSNH and then worked for the State of New Hampshire as a Regulatory Compliance Administrator. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany during the Korean War. He was a past commander of the Windham American Legion, first president of the NH Antique Auto Club, past president of the Windham Lions Club, and most proud that he was a member and past president of the Pinkerton
Alumni Association. You could always find Wally, Bob and Telly (the Three Amigos) at a Pinkerton game. He was an avid runner and possessed a love for the outdoors, enjoying hiking, fishing, camping and boating with his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Patricia (Simili) Ramsden of Windham; his children, Christopher and his wife Julie Ramsden of Virginia Beach, VA, Catherine and her husband Brian Coughlin of St. George, KS, and Julie and her husband Jason Romano of Newbury, MA; along with 13 wonderful grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Parish, Windham. Burial will follow in Cemetery on the Plain, Windham. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Sunday, Oct. 15 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd., Windham, NH.
